I approach my photography by putting myself in my client's shoes. "What would I want if I was the client?" is the question I ask myself. That is pretty much how I approach life as well. How would I feel if I was treated that way or if that happened to me.
I am married to a wonderful man who supports me 110% in everything I do. From my business o my home life, he is my rock. Together we have 7 kids....Patience is a strong trait in our home. With that many personalities it takes a lot of it. I am able to use that in my photography. You have to be patient with the little ones to the adults that hate photos. I make it fun and entertaining and usually they come around.
I was a police officer before I was a full time photographer. I had said when I was 11 that I wanted to be a narcotics officer when I grow up. Well I did just that. I have done it all in the law enforcement field. That kind of background really helps out at those crazy and wild weddings. I am able to get things flowing and in the right direction with a little assertiveness.
I love what I do. I wouldn't change it for anything. It was a long hard road to get to where I am, but I believe this is where I am meant to be and this is what I am suppose to be doing. I wear my heart on my sleeve and my main goal is to please my client!
My favorite saying is We have a birth certificate to show we were born. We get a death certificate to show we died. We have photos to show we LIVED! Capture each moment. Capture Life.
